Who we are
Effective date: November 5, 2026
This policy explains what personal information Energy Peg LLC (“Energy Peg”, “we”, “us”) collects through energypeg.com and in the course of client work, why we collect it, and what we do with it.
Energy Peg LLC is a clean energy advisory and utilities tracking firm at 789 Sherman Street, Suite 210, Denver, CO 80203. Questions about this policy go to hello@energypeg.com or (720) 891-1715.
What our forms collect
The contact form and the booking form ask for:
- your name, work email and organization
- a phone number, if you choose to give one
- the size of your organization and the topic you are interested in
- for bookings, the time of day, call format and days that suit you
- the message you write
To filter automated spam, the form checks how long the page was open and includes a hidden field people never fill in. The email we receive from the form also shows your IP address and the approximate city and region Cloudflare derives from it.
We use these details to reply to you, to schedule and prepare for a call, and to keep a record of what we discussed. The website does not store form submissions; each one is delivered to our team as an email. We do not add you to a mailing list unless you ask us to.
Utility data under an engagement
When you hire us, we handle utility information on your behalf under a signed proposal. Depending on the work, that can include:
- signed letters of authorization (LOAs) that let us request records from your utilities or act on your accounts
- utility portal logins you choose to share, or our own read-only login where the utility allows it
- bills, account and meter numbers, service addresses and rate schedules
- interval data from smart or interval meters
- building details for benchmarking, such as floor area and use
- names and work contact details of the people on your team we work with
You own this data. We use it only to deliver the work described in your signed proposal. Benchmarking lives in a Portfolio Manager account in your name, which you share with us and can stop sharing at any time.
Within 30 days after an engagement ends, we send you a full export, delete our copies of your utility data, portal logins and LOAs, stop acting under any LOA, and confirm the deletion in writing. If you ask us in writing to keep the data longer or to delete it sooner, we do that instead. Where a signed agreement with you says something different about your data, the agreement controls. Our data security page explains how access works day to day.
Analytics without cookies
We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies and does not track you across other websites. It reports totals such as page views, referring sites, countries, browsers and device types, and does not build a profile of you.
We run no advertising trackers, social media pixels or session recordings, and the site sets no cookies for analytics or advertising. Fonts load from our own site, not a third-party font service. The demand charge calculator runs in your browser and sends nothing to us.
We do not sell data
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information or utility data, and we do not share it for targeted advertising. We share information only as this policy describes:
- with the service provider named below
- with your utilities, when you authorize us to request records or file a correction
- with the City of Denver or the Colorado Energy Office, when we file a benchmarking report for you
- with a qualified verifier, when a benchmarking filing needs third-party verification
- when the law requires it, such as a valid subpoena or court order
We never pass your information to energy suppliers, brokers, solar developers or installers.
Service providers we use
Cloudflare hosts this website, runs the forms and the analytics, and delivers form messages to our team by email. Cloudflare handles that information as our service provider, under its own published privacy policy.
If we add a service provider that handles personal information from this website, we will name it here and update the effective date.
How long we keep it
- Form messages and booking requests: up to 24 months after our last exchange with you, then deleted, unless they become part of an engagement record.
- Utility data, portal logins and LOAs: deleted within 30 days after an engagement ends, unless you ask in writing for a different period.
- Proposals, contracts and invoices: as long as tax and accounting rules require.
- Analytics: totals only, with no personal profile, kept by Cloudflare under its own terms.
Your rights and choices
Anyone can ask us to:
- confirm whether we hold personal information about them, and send a copy
- correct information that is wrong
- delete it
- provide it in a portable format
- stop contacting them
Colorado Privacy Act. The Colorado Privacy Act gives Colorado residents the right to access, correct and delete their personal data, to obtain a portable copy, and to opt out of its sale, its use for targeted advertising and certain profiling. The Act applies only to businesses that meet its thresholds, and it does not cover people acting in a commercial or employment role. Where it applies to us, we honor those rights. We do not sell personal data or use it for targeted advertising or profiling.
To make a request, email hello@energypeg.com. We may ask you to confirm your identity first. A person replies within one business day, and we complete requests within 45 days, or tell you within that time if we need the extension the law allows. If we decline a request, we explain why and how to appeal. You can appeal by replying to our decision, and if you are not satisfied with the outcome, you can contact the Colorado Attorney General.
How we protect data
Only the people assigned to your account can open its files. Portal logins are kept in a password manager, never in email or spreadsheets. Every system that holds client data requires multi-factor sign-in, files sit in encrypted storage, and this website is served only over encrypted connections.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal information, we will tell you as Colorado law requires, with what happened and what we are doing about it.
Children’s information
This website is for businesses and their staff. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page with a new effective date. If a change affects how we handle utility data under an active engagement, we will email those clients before it takes effect.
