Why the name is Energy Peg
A surveyor drives a peg into the ground and takes every measurement from it. Because the peg does not move, each reading means something.
We work the same way. Before we judge a single bill, we build one baseline from 24 months of your bills and interval data, and you sign it. Every later number is read against that mark.
The rules we work by
They hold for every engagement, at every size.
Fixed fees, in writing
Every fee is quoted in writing before work starts, beginning from our published prices.
No commissions
We take nothing from utilities, suppliers or installers, so no option pays us more than another.
No contingency
We never take a share of refunds. Any refund we find goes to you in full.
You own the data
Bills, interval data and the Portfolio Manager account stay in your name. How we hold your data.
No outcome promises
We show what we checked and the math behind it. We do not promise savings or refunds.
No brokering
We do not place supply contracts or sell equipment, solar panels or certificates.
Engineers for engineering
Equipment, controls and solar design go to licensed engineers and contractors you choose.
Who reads your bills
Listed by role, with the standard each one meets. Ask to meet them before you sign.
Utility analysts
Read bills and tariffs daily. Each is trained on your utilities’ tariff books before touching an account.
Energy advisors
Lead advisory and green power work, holding a recognized credential such as AEE Certified Energy Manager (CEM).
Benchmarking specialists
File Portfolio Manager reports. For Energize Denver, a qualified verifier checks the data, never whoever entered it.
We are paid the same whether a bill is right or wrong. That is the point: our only job is to tell you which it is.
See how we would read yours
A 30-minute call with two or three recent bills shows how we work before you sign anything.
