Our target

Every visitor, including people who use a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification or voice control, should be able to read our pages, use our tools and reach us. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA across energypeg.com.
Where we fall short, we want to hear about it, and we will get you the information another way while we fix it.
How we check
- Keyboard. Links, menus, form fields, questions and calendar months are built to be reached and used with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline.
- Structure for screen readers. Each page has one main heading, headings in order, labeled landmarks and labeled form fields. We have not yet finished a full manual audit with VoiceOver and NVDA; until we do, tell us anything that reads badly.
- Contrast. We check colours against the WCAG AA ratios: 4.5:1 for body text, 3:1 for large text and form borders.
- Reduced motion. When your device asks for reduced motion, animations and transitions are switched off.
- Zoom and reflow. Pages are built to reflow to one column on narrow screens and at high zoom, apart from some data tables that scroll sideways.
- Images. Every page illustration has a one-sentence text description; small repeated thumbnails in lists are marked as decorative.
Limits we know about
- Tables on small screens. On narrow screens, tables restack into labeled rows. Some screen readers then announce them as lists rather than tables, though each value keeps its column label.
- The calculator. Results update as you type. Screen readers announce the summary line after each change; the full results table is read when you move to it.
- Documents we send clients. Reports and workbooks delivered during an engagement are not covered by this statement. Ask, and we will provide them in a format that works for you.
- Other sites. We link to city, state and federal pages whose accessibility we do not control.

It helps to include the page address, what you were trying to do, and the browser and assistive technology you use, if you are comfortable sharing them. A person replies within one business day. If a page blocks you, we will send the information by email or go through it on the phone while we fix the page.
